Hudson Moments

We had a few Hudson moments at our home a few weeks ago. Henry was really quiet and came in as I was on the phone. I asked him, "Did you color in your ear?". He said, "No".

Then, I startled him going into my bathroom to find his hair all wet and toilet paper stuck to him. It was just a small glimps into Will and Jessica's life.

What's this all about???

When we lived in Reno, there'd be these small quakes...I'd never notice them because they seemed so insignificant to the blasting at the mines. This one seems serious though!

Pomp and Circumstance

Ode to Will B

The title is taken from Act III of Shakespeare's Othello:
"Farewell the neighing steed, and the shrill trump,
The spirit-stirring drum, the ear-piercing fife,
The royal banner, and all quality,
Pride, pomp, and circumstance of glorious war!".[1]

In the United States, March No. 1 is sometimes known simply as "the graduation song," and is associated with graduation ceremonies. It was first played at such a ceremony on June 28, 1905, at Yale University, where the Professor of Music Samuel Sanford had invited his friend Elgar to attend commencement and receive an honorary Doctorate of Music. Elgar accepted, and Sanford made certain he was the star of the proceedings, engaging the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, the College Choir, the Glee Club, the music faculty members, and New York musicians to perform two parts from Elgar's oratorio The Light of Life and, as the graduates and officials marched out, Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1. The tune soon became de rigueur at American graduations.[3]

That is all fine and good, but this is much more interesting:

The tune is also widely recognised for its use as Macho Man Randy Savage's entrance theme.
The tune has been used in the Walt Disney film Fantasia 2000 for a scene about Noah's Ark.
The tune has been used in the movie A Clockwork Orange (film)

The tune is now being used in TNA Wrestling for Jay Lethal, who is doing a parody of Macho Man Randy Savage. This version of the song is remixed.

If I made the headlines

I was reading the Headlines on MSN.com and Yahoo.com. Looking mostly to pass the time and realized that the headlines are very non-newsical. It is so strange to read them and think they are news.

So I decided to depict me and mine today in some non-newsical headlines.

  • Sarah grabs much needed victory over 3 small humans in bed time battle
  • Executive Manager seeks inspiration on upcoming Sunday Womens Meeting

Meeting anticipated to be centered on Ward Family and Nephi 1
Board members may be sorely disappointed at this Executive manager's duffiness

  • How to build trust with a 1 1/2 year old with Teddy Grahams in 3 steps or less
  • Pop sensation Pyrah seen splurging on chocolate - LOTS of chocolates
  • Surprise the family with take out and you won't have to scrimp on the nutrients!
  • Small boy saves baby dolls life by lifing toy stroller single handedly
  • Power Rangers disguished as 2 young girls save family from uncertain destruction in backyard

Sometimes, I don't even know what I am talking about sometimes.

Kind face, Stubby fingers, Smells like Goats, Likes to collect stamps...

As many of you do not know we have started the paper work for adoption through LDS Family Services. As part of the paper work it asks a few questions about our family and we were having a hard time describing some of you. We knew other people would be looking at it and wanted to present you in the best light possible. Isn't that nice of us (we could write humble under our description). What ever your best side is whether it be your back or your front, let it show. You may wish to give suggestions on what your description should be; but beware, if you do not submit suggestions, you will be at the mercy of what your brother has to say about you. Mooohhaaaaaa!

So, here are the questions:
1. Physical Description
2. Talents/Hobbies
3. Address (this is only for those who are moving, which just happens to be about half of you)

Its done

As of 4:45pm, Thursday April 3rd, I no longer have to pull all nighters, survive off of candy and soda (or what ever else I have in my desk at the time). I can again play video games and be home in time for dinner. I thought I would require all to call me master blaster for the day but I think I'll just settle for playing the old nintendo game for an hour after school.

Synnova is done "Marching" and boy are her legs tired! ha, ha, ha

Thanks to all who helped Synnova earn money for March of Dimes. She read a total of 27 chapter books. She really wanted to read 30 (because that would fill up the sheet they gave us), so on the last day she said, "Mom, will you please go to the library today so I can read 3 more books when I get home from school." Now, that is dedication. We also caught her reading in the bathtub, in her bed and as you may have guessed it (she is related to Dan) on the toilet. In fact, she stays there so long her legs go numb. Yipes! Thanks again to all who donated.
