First time blogger

Once I got a ham radio license and started sending out cq cq cq (seek you), da di da dit, da da di dah. Then when someone came back I found I couldn't think of a single thing to say. I just sat there staring at the radio. I guess not much has changed for me in 35 years.
You would probably be embarrassed to know that I have been down at the river with my $7 yard sale bow and arrow with a string on it trying to shoot carp. I hesitate to tell people about my secret passion but it is fun. One has to be very stealthy in order not to frighten them. I've gotten off several shots but have nothing to carp about yet.

So I can remember as a kid doing similar stuff with the yellow bow and arrow (a twig simulated into a arrow) in the back yard as we played savages or what not. It is a bit of social geriatic psychology(big words that I don't think really all go together) to think that you may be working on living out a second childhood...what next? are you gonna build a fort in the backyard. Calvin and Hobbes-esk with No Slimy Girls Allowed? Glad to hear you are young at heart cause that will keep you around for lots more to come.
....crazy old man....

So was the 'da di da dit, da da di dah' lyrics you couldn't remember or real ham radio terms? They asked in our ward for ham radio operators as few weeks back. Guess when the angry mobs take over the government they'll take down the cell towers first. Good thing we've got carp hunters in our midst or else we'd starve. Them's good eats...

Sounds like fun to me. Once we went canoeing down the Humboldt and found a blocked irrigation ditch. It was used earlier in the year to flood the fields for some rancher/farmer. The water had dried up and left a nice pool with carp swimming on top on carp. It was like the carpious bounty. Our first thought was to jump in and grab the carp. We did. We step on some it was so thick with carp. Then we threw them in the river to try to save them. WE ahd to throw them over the cement wall and the berm. Sometimes we threw them at each other. They have nasty scales that always come off in your hands and back when you get hit. I threw about 25 of them into the river. Mostly we caught them by sitting all the way down in the 1-2 feet of water. Then we scooped them up with both arms as they swam over our legs. Some of the carp landed in our canoe.

Later, I founded CRAP "Carp really are precious." I'll send everyone some brown ribbons to wear on your lapels and some wrist bands that say "CARP STRONG".

Heather I talked to your printer and they had a misprint:
Crap really are precious and
Crap Strong...time to reorder.
