Time sure flies. I realized I had not posted any pics of Sam and then realized he was 4 weeks old already!
I just made the birth announcements and should be able to get those out before he turns 30 yrs old. Just seems like I get further and further behind.

the countdown for the arrival of...

Met with my Dr. today and she was able to take into consideration the holidays with the arrival of our new boy...so we are planning for a delivery on Dec 22nd (sharing a b-day with Uncle Matt!) if not before.
We will keep you updated and post some pics!

Emily's Piano Recital

Emily recently had her piano recital. She played "Oh Christmas Tree". Morgan apparently was having her own humming recital during Emily's number. But we had heard the song so often at home, I can't really get too upset with Morgan.

She did really well, and played the whole number without her sheet music. I think she has Gramma Raine's long fingers and is able to play really well. She isn't afraid to play loudly either :)

Well, I'm not very good at all this, but I will try to post a blog. Some of you have been questioning whether we will have a Christmas exchange this year. I am assuming that since Matt & Kathy were not able to participate last due to their far and distant home, that they will not participate this year. Tonsil update

Jakey is home and doing well. He enjoyed every part of the pre-op: wagon ride, stuffed animals, movie and getting to blow up the green "balloon" for the anesethia. But waking up was another story and took about 3 hours. He was pretty sad yesterday, but had a good night. He is managing today with head nods/shakes and whispers. He is still having a hard time swallowing and tends to let the drool roll. He seems more alert and is eating otter pops, and drinking some juice. I think we can start the ice cream tomorrow.

I have chalked yesterday up to "one of the hardest Mommy days of my life". But I made it through, whew.

thanks to everyone for more happy thoughts and Mom and Dad for helping. Emily and Morgan were sure wore out after hanging with the g-parents.
